When an outdoor dining area fills up every summer evening, shade is part of the service. Hydrus was designed with this in mind. A robust pole and ribs, more than double the cross-section of a standard terrace parasol. Acrishade fabric that holds its colour and withstands winds up to 60 km/h.
And when evening falls, the integrated LED lighting in the ribs transforms the space without cables or any additional installation.

Hydrus is Maanta's central pole parasol, designed for large spaces and professional settings. Available in a 5×5 m square version and a Ø 6 m octagonal version, with a telescopic crank opening mechanism and integrated solar LED lighting.

Designed for those who manage outdoor commercial spaces: restaurants with al fresco dining areas, hotels, resorts, beach clubs and lidos. Also ideal for private terraces and large villas where a single, generous shade point is all you need.

In two sizes: 5×5 m square (25 m² of coverage) and Ø 6 m octagonal (approximately 28 m²).

Yes. Maanta's customer service team speaks five languages and can recommend the most suitable size, finish, and base for your professional space and wind exposure.

The 5×5 m covers a table for 10–12 people or two four-seater tables placed side by side. The Ø 6 m covers up to 14–16 guests or a generous lounge area.

Due to the size and weight, we recommend installation with two people, especially for the Ø 6 m size. The base should be prepared first, then the parasol can be fitted into place.

It is the opening mechanism: a crank operates an internal spindle within the pole, extending the ribs and stretching the fabric. The movement is progressive and precisely calibrated for large-scale sizes.

Acrishade, a solution-dyed acrylic at 260 g/m² developed by Maanta. UPF 50+, water-repellent, and fade-resistant for 1,500 hours at grade 4.

The colour is embedded directly into the acrylic fibre during production, not printed on the surface. The result: the shade holds up far better against sun exposure and salt air, even after entire seasons of outdoor use.

The fabric blocks over 98% of UV rays, the highest rating on the UPF scale. The protection is equivalent to a SPF 50+ sunscreen, consistent for as long as you stay underneath.

At the top of the pole, there is a solar panel that charges during the day; the eight arms integrate LEDs that activate in the evening. No cables, no electrical installation required.

Yes, up to 60 km/h, equivalent to Beaufort 7. This is the highest wind resistance rating in the Maanta parasol range. For stronger winds, we recommend closing the canopy.

No, Hydrus is a centre-pole parasol with a fixed base — it does not tilt or rotate 360°. If you need those features, other models in our range are available: Lybra, Auriga, and Cygnus.

Place your chosen base in the final position, insert the pole into its socket, release the perimeter velcro strap and turn the handle clockwise until it reaches the end stop: the fabric will become taut.

Turn the crank handle in the opposite direction until fully closed, guide the fabric so it gathers neatly along the pole, then secure the perimeter Velcro strap.

No, the base is not included. Hydrus comes with the parasol only: frame, integrated LEDs, canopy, crank handle and strap. The anchoring system is a separate accessory, essential for installation.

Use a soft brush and lukewarm water with a mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents and pressure washers. Rinse thoroughly and leave to air dry — never tumble dry.

Close the sail, secure the Velcro strap, and cover with the dedicated protective cover. If possible, remove the pole from the base and store it in a dry, well-ventilated space.

For brief, light showers, yes – the fabric is water-repellent. For storms, winds above 60 km/h, or prolonged rainfall, we recommend closing it to protect your awning.

Seven years on the aluminium structure (pole, slats, mechanisms, winding handle, spindle) and three years on the Acrishade fabric, from the date of delivery.

Open the parcel in front of the courier whenever possible. If you notice any external damage, accept the delivery with reservation, photograph both the packaging and the product, then get in touch with us within 48 hours: we handle the claim directly with DHL.
