Thanks to its integrated 12-volt motor, the sail unfurls and retracts effortlessly with a remote control, while the anemometer automatically detects weather conditions, retracting the sail in strong winds.

The motorized furling system operates extremely quickly: Zefira retracts in under a minute, providing immediate protection for the sail and its anchor points.

2022/2023 - Solaria Furl and Solaria +Plus Furl: The radial shade sail that rolls onto itself

Solaria Furl and Solaria +Plus Furl represent the evolution of retractable shade sails, designed to offer maximum durability, practicality, and style. Their furler system, crafted from 316 stainless steel, high-performance bearings, and anodised aluminium, ensures smooth operation and exceptional longevity, even under strong wind loads.

The furling system is inspired by gennaker furlers used on sailing boats, featuring an enlarged structure to manage the torsion of horizontally positioned shade sails. After years of research, the Maanta team has developed an innovative design with the WIDE SPOOL, a large-diameter reel that reduces the effort required to open and close the sail. The S-GRIPP technology prevents the rope from slipping into the groove, ensuring constant tension.

Compared to a fixed sail, Solaria Furl and its advanced version, Solaria +Plus Furl, can be fully retracted in under three minutes, eliminating lift and protecting both the anchor points and the fabric. The +Plus version maintains the same advanced features but includes double the fabric panels for even better tension distribution and a superior aesthetic finish.

2018 - OmbrelA: The retractable umbrella

Among the retractable shade sails, we also have OmbrelA. This garden umbrella is fully motorised.

Its uniqueness lies in its design, which resembles a classic desk lamp, and in the innovative solutions it incorporates. The mast is adjustable, and the furling boom can be tilted. The combination of these elements allows the shade cone to be adjusted, providing effective protection against sun and wind in any condition.

In case of strong winds, OmbrelA will automatically close thanks to wind sensor detection and an automatic impulse to the Somfy motor, which comes as standard. Thanks to its precise engineering, these cantilever retractable shade sails can cover up to 24 square metres, compared to a maximum of 17 square metres offered by competing retractable umbrellas.

2017 - CoR 2.0: The retractable shade sail with boom

CoR 2.0 stands at the pinnacle of retractable shade sails: its rope circuit connects to the CtR, a patented system that maintains constant and adjustable tension on the fabric.

The advantages of this innovation are numerous: a tensioned fabric withstands gusts of wind more effectively, drains rainwater better, and ensures greater safety.

Thanks to this, we can manufacture larger retractable shade sails, up to 70 square metres (while competitors reach only 50), offering enhanced durability and security.

Each CoR 2.0 is a unique piece, custom-made upon request. However, the benefits of CoR 2.0 do not surpass those of Solaria Furl, and it requires more precise installation, almost requiring specialised labour. For this reason, CoR 2.0 is less frequently promoted and requested.

The range of available fabrics is expanded, from the finest marine-grade Dacron—specially selected from a world-leading manufacturer for superior UV resistance—to the advanced Weathermax fabric, available in a wide variety of colours and capable of reducing temperatures by up to 37% under the canopy.

Unlike Solaria Furl, CoR 2.0 is motorised with Somfy, the world’s leading manufacturer in this field. It is also equipped with a dedicated Somfy anemometer, which automatically triggers the fabric’s closure when excessive wind is detected.
