Mikołaj and the morning among the birch trees

Private residence - Poland

In the Polish forest,
time moves to a different rhythm.

The light filters through the white trunks and shifts with the hours. The birch trees barely sway in the wind, a soft, continuous sound, like breathing. The house opens onto the forest with large glazed walls, wood cladding, and an outdoor deck.

Mikołaj lives here by choice.

My refuge

One of Poland's most celebrated actors and television presenters,
who has chosen the forest as the backdrop for everything: work, training, and dawn coffee.

That wooden outdoor space in front of the house is the heart of this choice: the place where the house stops being a house and becomes something else entirely. But the Polish forest is not always forgiving. Mikołaj had no intention of giving it up: he wanted that space to remain open, to breathe, to keep conversing with the white trunks all around.

Mikołaj, Poland

"Waking up to birdsong, opening the door and feeling the fresh morning air. Training under the shade sail, coffee at dawn when the world is still asleep. The shade sail sways gently in the breeze, giving the feeling of a natural refuge. I can open and close it whenever I want with just a few movements.

My home is my world, and the best part? It protects from both sun and rain."
